Error During Mechanical Movement

The following messages will be displayed on the screen when error occurs.  There may be more than one possible cause and correction procedure, the priority is listed in sequence.

 

"**** Press switch did not release ****"

Cause:  The top contact switch plate does not release during OPEN jog cycle.

Correction: 

1.)  Make sure the plate is floating freely.

2.)  Adjust the strain gauge PCB to 6 volts + / - 0.5

 

"****WARNING: TOP CONTACT SWITCH NOT ENGAGE ****"

Cause:  Top contact switches do not engage before high torque press motor started.

Correction: 

1.)  From the Main Menu, select TD then SW to enter the Switch Test function.  Compress top contact switches to ensure the proper response. 

2.)  Replace Strain Gauge if needed.

 

"****TOP CONTACT SWITCH FAIL****"

Cause:  Top contact switches do not engage during align fixture.

Correction:

1.)  From the Main Menu, select TD then SW to enter the Switch Test function.  Compress top contact switches to ensure the proper response. 

2.)  Replace Strain Gauge if needed.

3.)  Examine the Press Interrupter B at the end of center shaft.  Moving press up and down by tuning the belt, the "Press interrupt B" should be toggled.

 

"****FRONT OPTO NOT IN PLACE****"

Cause:  The front shuttle interrupter does not engage when shuttle reaches front.

Correction:

1.)  Examine shuttle front opto assembly.

2.)  Examine data ribbon cable for damage.

 

"**** REAR OPTO NOT IN PLACE****"

Cause:  The rear shuttle interrupter does not engage when shuttle reaches the back.

Correction: 

1.)  Examine shuttle rear opto assembly.

2.)  Examine data ribbon cable for damage.
